America, love it or leave it.

Nothing makes one more insecure than being told our ports are porous to terrorist invasion, they can detect kitty litter, but not nuclear explosives; our airports, after millions of dollars in upgrades and a dedicated effort to board only shoeless people couldn't find a fart in a gas mask; we are all going to die horrible choking deaths from Bird Flu; Our planet is turning on us due humanity pissing in its face; We are overcrowded, over fed, over stimulated, our politicians have set new lows in thuggery and theft; finally we are facing an economic meltdown of our entire society, due to the fact that cheap oil is just about gone..so yeah, I guess we are little insecure.

I saw a car yesterday, newer model of some American made piece of tin and plastic. Older couple inside. On their back bumper they had a small sticker. Showed an American Flag and it said, “America, Love it or Leave it.”

There is an irony here. These words reflect the exact opposite of everything this country stands for. Diametrically opposite. The statement of ‘Love it or Leave it’, is a statement of repression. It is a statement in which people are to shut up and just do what they are told. Don’t express an opinion contrary to the mob belief or you will be branded a traitor. Don’t ask questions. Don’t question, period.

The irony is that this couple, if asked, would tell you that they are very Patriotic and proud of their Country. He may have fought in Korea, too young for World War II, too old for Vietnam. But who knows. This couple saw themselves as Patriotic Americans, defending the flag and honoring the troops.

What horseshit.

This statement is a statement of totalitarian madness and nothing more. It is only Patriotic for Hitler’s Germany, or Bush’s America.
