Republican America

There is a movement in America that is designed to lower the living standards of ordinary American People. There is a premeditated plan in place, set there by the Republican Party to utterly destroy the middle class and to strip American workers of all benefits and pensions.

The reason? Sheer unmitigated GREED. If you take away a living wage, benefits, health care, and pensions from the worker, this leaves more profit for the Management and Share Holders.

America, if all goes according to Republican Plan, will be a land of: “Fuck the peasants, I got mine!”

Consider the following:

Kucinich on Budget Reconciliation: War over Education, Tax Cuts over Health Care

(NOVEMBER 18, 2005 CONTACT: Congressman Dennis KucinichDoug Gordon (202) 225-5871(o); (202) 494-5141(c) )

“WASHINGTON - November 18 - Congressman Dennis J. Kucinich (D-OH) issued the following statement today on the Budget Reconciliation bill that will cut over $50 billion in vital domestic priorities while funding endless war and tax cuts to the super wealthy:
"This is a dark day for this institution. With the Gulf states devastated by hurricanes, hundreds of thousand homeless and displaced, with poverty on the rise, with the number of uninsured Americans on the rise, with the price of college tuition on the rise and with our economy leaving millions of working Americans behind, this Congress has the audacity to cut over $50 billion dollars in vital domestic priorities while fully funding the war in Iraq and tax cuts to the super wealthy.
"If a budget is a statement of priorities for a nation, this budget bill speaks volumes about the misplaced priorities of this Congress.
"This budget chooses war over education, tax cuts over health care, special interests over need of the nation and rich over poor. This budget bill attempts to balance the deficits caused by the war in Iraq and the tax cuts to the wealthiest Americans squarely on the backs of poor and working class Americans.
"Our nation cannot sustain the path laid out by this bill. With this bill, Congress is turning its back on hundreds of millions of people in favor of an extreme ideology. We can and must do better.”..”

But there is more…

What's Hurting GM Is Hurting America

Autoworkers in the Rust Belt and around North America suffered a rough blow this Thanksgiving week: General Motors announced plans yesterday to cut 30,000 manufacturing jobs (25,000 in the United States) and close a dozen plants, one day after Ford Motors announced 4,000 more job cuts…”

“…As Paul Krugman writes, the signs of decline in Detroit are a "reminder of how far we have come from the days when hard-working Americans could count on a reasonable degree of economic security." GM's move is the latest sign of a fundamental shift away from the progressive vision of an "opportunity society," where every hard-working person can realize his or her goals through education, decent work, and fair pay. Replacing this society is not President Bush's empty vision of an "ownership society," but the tough realities of greater job uncertainty, lower wages, higher health care costs, and a shrinking middle class. Critically, these changes are not simply dictates of the market. Rather, they are in large part the result of specific policy decisions that have left American workers and businesses unprepared for the dynamic changes occurring in the global economy…”

And there is more….

KATRINA -- RELIEF EFFORTS LOSING STEAM: The effort to rebuild New Orleans has been largely unfulfilled "because of a leadership vacuum in Washington, where President Bush and Congress have been preoccupied for weeks with Iraq, deficit reduction, the C.I.A. leak investigation and the Supreme Court." Unlike responses to similar tragedies such as 9/11, "relief legislation remains dormant in Washington and despair is growing among officials here who fear that Congress and the Bush administration are losing interest in their plight." Walter Isaacson of the Louisiana Recovery Authority said, "We're still relying on the president's promise to help New Orleans rebuild." Meanwhile, 6,644 people remain missing in the Gulf Region, "raising the prospect that the death toll could be higher than the 1,306 recorded so far in Louisiana and Mississippi."..”

These three articles encapsulate the reality of Republican America. It really is class warfare, pure and simple. The wealthy make the rules and steal all the profits. The rest of America must be content with table scraps.

Legislation after legislation is being passed by Republicans, with the spineless groveling assistance of Democrats, that take away not only economic progress, but the very rights guaranteed in the U.S. Constitution.

Right now, today, Americans are facing less opportunity, less chance for advancement, less hope for a better life, less chance of their children doing better than their parents, and less hope for a comfortable retirement than ever in the modern age. WE are return to the days of feudal serfdom.

Let’s take GM just for a brutal example. GM failed not because the workers were lazy or incompetent, GM failed because Management completely misread the coming changes, building monster SUV’s instead of smaller more efficient vehicles. Management blundered in producing designs that failed in the marketplace. So who is punished? The workers. Not Management. Instead the top people receive huge raises and compensation.

The Media will then follow their master’s lead and gloss over the utter failure of management and parrot the endless litany of “it’s all wonderful, buy buy buy…”

Additionally, there are thousands of people, perhaps millions, that are now unemployed in this country because we do not have universal health care. The politicians and the Republicans, and the wealthy, have conspired to push health care onto the backs of the American people, so that they can eek out a few more pennies of profit.

There is a massacre going on right now in this Country. It is a massacre of the American people by its own government and by the wealthy elite who run this country. They are killing every man, woman and child in this country so that the elite can make more money and gain more power. We have one of the worst storms in world history and three months later the U.S. Government is already backing out of agreements to help its own people. Additionally, just as millions of Americans are losing their jobs, their own government begins cutting unemployment support they now desperately need. There is no “us” in the U.S. There are now only serfs and feudal lords.

The Government of the United States is not only not our government, it is in fact our enemy.

“Fuck the peasants, I got mine!” Cry the Republican Lords of America.
