Genuine Christianity

If Jesus had to make a choice between same-sex marriages and starving poor…what do you think he would do?

Did Jesus really put more priority on abortion, and electing ideologically pure judges…or did he seem to want people to help each other, feed and cloth each other, care for each other, love each other, forgive each other…

One other final thought, what stops Dobson, Robertson, Falwell and their ilk from doing both?

The answer is simple, these pathetic goons are interested in personal power and they couldn’t care less about Jesus Christ or his teachings. These are evil, vicious men intent on domination and control. They wouldn’t lift a hand to help a neighbor unless it benefited filled their own pockets.

VALUES -- PROGRESSIVE RELIGIOUS GROUPS LEAD THE FIGHT TO STOP CUTS TO POVERTY PROGRAMS:

"When hundreds of religious activists try to get arrested today to protest cutting programs for the poor, prominent conservatives such as James Dobson, Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell will not be among them," the Washington Post reports. "Conservative Christian groups such as Focus on the Family say it is a matter of priorities, and their priorities are abortion, same-sex marriage and seating judges who will back their position against those practices." Meanwhile, progressive religious groups are protesting budget measures that would cut food stamp, Medicaid, and student loan programs. The leaders of the United Methodist Church, Episcopal Church, Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, Presbyterian Church USA, and United Church of Christ asked Congress and President Bush to "present a budget that brings 'good news to the poor,' reflecting our nation’s historic concern for justice and the least among us."

I am delighted to see that true Christianity is still alive and well, and not the shamefully bogus pile of crap spewed by Dobson, Falwell, Robertson, et al.
