"The US Department of Justice (DoJ) and the office of the White House Counsel are preparing a draft document laying out the President's wartime authority to remain in office past 2008, The Register has learned.
The scheme is described as an emergency "continuity presidency," made necessary by the extraordinary circumstances and unique challenges of protecting the United States from the threat of international terrorism.
"The world changed on 9/11," a confidential DoJ memo obtained by The Register explains, "and no Administration is US history is better suited to adapt productively to those changes than this one.
"The Attorney General supports the basic framework in the White House Counsel's draft proposal for a future Executive Order establishing a Continuity Presidency, with two provisos: 1. There must be at least the appearance of a time limit, which the AG believes might be satisfied by tying the duration of the Continuity Presidency to the duration of the GWOT [global war on terrorism]; and 2. The House and Senate Majority Leaders and the Chairpersons of the House and Senate Judiciary Committees must issue a written certification that they have approved the plan."
On the website it was listed as a possible April Fool's Story. I contend that it is not. Perhaps this particular report is bogus, but the idea that George W. Bush is considering usurping the Presidential Elections so that he can remain as President is not so far fetched.
Think about it.
- These people, Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rice, et al. have murdered either directly, or indirectly thousands of people, from American and Iraqi citizens and beyond.
- They have systematically looted the entire federal treasury and moved trillions, TRILLIONS, of dollars into the hands of their friends and supporters.
- They are in the process of destroying the entire social safety net from Social Security and Medicare, to Private Pensions.
- They have pushed the United States into world record debt.
- They have established Evangelical Christianity as a part of Federal Government.
- They have unilaterally started several wars and have proclaimed the 'Right' to attack any other nation they choose.
- They have fully subverted two National Presidential Elections in 2000 and 2005.
- They have defied the U.S. Constitution, the U.S. Bill of Rights, and the entire principal of a tripartite form of government and have broken inumerable federal laws in their five year junta.
- They have taken a strong, fiscally sound Superpower and have turned it in to a failed rogue state.
- They have watched and did nothing to come to the life saving aid of thousands of fellow Americans in Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina. Further, this complete abandonment of their citizens was a result of racism and arrogance.
They have done all of this based on their core belief in a specific ideology and a commitment to revolutionary change in this country.
Do you seriously think that they would have gone to all of this only to just meekly give up power at the end of their regulation two term limit? Remember, these people, the Project for a New American Century, Evangelical Christians, and others have been planning this coup de'tat of America for well over 30 years.
Megalomania is not self-limiting.
I absolutely believe that Bush and his ilk will allow, and/or create, another 'terrorist attack' on this nation and will then use it as an excuse to declare martial law. They will then use this excuse to cancel national elections and to keep themselves in power. Further, I believe that George W. Bush will allow a nuclear device to be detonated on American Soil, killing countless Americans and poisoning this area forever, for the sole purpose of maintaining his grip on power.
I just got a strong feelin in my bones...We are seeing the start of the reign of King Bush.
